The inner, historical part of Telc is one of the several Czech sites on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is an admirable collection of houses, churches and other buildings, which look very much like they did when they were built in the 14th century and re-built, be it in Gothic, Renaissance or Baroque styles.

Each of the little houses on the main square has a story to tell, so do the water fountains, plague pillars and churches, which make this town unique in the world. And the Telc chateau is one of the best preserved Renaissance chateaus in the country.

Visiting Telc is possible practically only by private car, since it is nowhere near the important rail or road corridors. A visit to the city can be combined with other tours, but Telc is certainly a magnet on its own.
